Initial Comments:
This report is the result of an unannounced revisit survey completed on October 13, 2023, for a survey conducted on January 31, 2023, and completed on February 2, 2023, at Albert Einstein Medical Center-Transplant Center. It was determined that the facility was in compliance with Part 482 - Conditions of Participation for Hospital - Subpart E - Requirements for Specialty Hospital - 482.68 Special requirements for transplant centers.
The facility achieved substantial compliance for the following Conditions of Participation and standard and element level deficiencies:
482.90 Condition of Participation: Patient and Living Donor Selection: Adult Liver (ALI), Adult Kidney Only (AKO), Adult Pancreas Only (APO), and Adult Kidney/Pancreas.
